Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Balushi is currently the Group CEO of Oman International Development and Investment Company SAOG (OMINVEST) with over 37 years of professional experience. Abdulaziz has extensive and in-depth knowledge of the global financial services industry. Since joining OMINVEST in 2014, Abdulaziz together with the Management Team transformed the company by implementing the new vision set forth by the Board of Directors, formulating a new organizational culture, structure, and policies.
Prior to joining OMINVEST, Abdulaziz was the CEO of Ahli Bank SAOG from 2007 to 2013.
Abdulaziz holds a Master of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK). Abdulaziz served at various Boards across the Sultanate and as an Advisory Board Member in the college of Agriculture and Marine Services at Sultan Qaboos University.
Currently, Abdulaziz is the is Deputy Chairman of Jabreen International Development Company SAOC; and a Board member at Oman Arab Bank SAOG, National Finance Company SAOG and National Life and General Insurance SAOG. Additionally, he is a member of Oman American Business Centre, an organization formed to foster the development of commercial activity between the United States of America and the Sultanate of Oman. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Services, an organization supporting professionalism in Financial Services.
Nasri Victor Malhamé is advisor to the board of Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. and has previously served as its Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Arab Bank (Switzerland).
Mr. Malhamé has been a Director of AB Alternative Strategies Fund PCC Ltd – AB Alternative Arbitrage Fund since March 1, 2015. He served as a Director at AB Alternative Strategies Fund P.C.C. Limited from August 16, 2011 to January 14, 2013. He served as a Director of IIAB PCC Ltd – IIAB Sukuk & Murabaha MENA Fund and IIAB MENA Feeder Fund until January 2013. He served as a Director of AB Alternative Strategies Fund PCC Ltd – AB Alternative Arbitrage Fund from August 16, 2011 to January 2013.
Al Wadhah Sulaiman Al-Adawi currently serves as Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Ominvest.
He most recently served as the Vice Chairman of S&T Group’s Oil and Gas business (Hydrocarbon Finder E&P). He also has over 18 years of international experience managing global portfolios in leading Asset Managers such as Harvard Endowment and GLG Partners. He was also previously a board member at Ominvest.
Al Wadhah graduated Cum Laude (Honors) from Boston University where he earned a double major in Economics and Finance. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds the CFA designation since 2004.
Sanjay Kawatra has 25 years of solid experience in providing financial, strategic and growth leadership. He is well connected globally and possesses deep sector knowledge of banking, insurance, and leasing.
Sanjay currently serves as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of Ominvest Group and is responsible for managing Ominvest Group’s investments. Earlier, he was a partner in EY MENA. He has extensive experience in matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, divestments, performance improvement, IPOs, and fund-raising transactions.
Sanjay has served as an advisor to several regulatory committees in Oman. He is an active presenter in business forums and contributes articles to business magazines. He is also a Board member of several listed and regulated companies in GCC. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Ziad Kamal is currently Managing Director in Wealth Management at Arab Bank Switzerland. His experience at Arab bank Switzerland as Executive Director Private Banking GCC & Egypt since 2012.
He is responsible for establishing a team for HNWI, UHNWI in Egypt, KSA Bahrain, Qatar and UAE.
He is holder Bachelor of Arts , Major Political Science & Minor Economics and History from American University in Cairo (1989-1993).
Mr. Ziad started his career in 1995, in Arab Bank PLC in Cairo before moving to Zurich in 2012 as Director Private Baking Egypt and GCC desk then as Managing director. Mr. Ziad currently serves as the head of Arab Bank Zurich branch.
Rani Jabban is currently Managing Director, member of the Executive committee in charge of Treasury, Trading, Financial Institutions, and Marketing at Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. He is holder of a MSc. in Economics and is a graduate from Magistère Banque Finance from French University Paris 2 Pantheon-Assas (1994).
Mr. Rani started his career in 1995, as Forex and Treasury dealer at BFO London (Credit Agricole group) before moving to Geneva in 2000 as senior manager FX advisory at Credit Agricole (Suisse) SA.
Sheikh Abdulaziz Khalifa Al Saadi is the CEO of Ubhar Capital SAOC (U Capital) since December 2020.
With experience of more than 19 years in the field of finance and investment, Sheikh AbdulAziz has extensive in-depth knowledge of the industry.
Before joining Ubhar Capital, he was Deputy Director General for Operations in Civil Services Pension Fund (CSPF). Where he steered in formulation and implementation of CSPF strategic plan and future directions. He also supervised operations in the investment department’s management activities which included portfolio construction, investment strategy and risk management. He also looked after the internal audit function of the fund.
He has remained as board of director with various companies in the field of real estate, investment as well as in the banking sector. He was board of director of Bank Nizwa (the largest standalone Islamic bank in Oman), Ominvest (largest private sector investment Company in Oman), Jabreen Capital (a leading private equity firm in the region) and Muscat National Development and Investment Company (a flagship company of the government of Oman with focus on tourism, health, education, retail, logistics and transport industries).
Sheikh Abdulaziz holds Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Sultan Qaboos University, Master’s Degree in Business from Victoria University, Melbourne – Australia and an Associated Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) from London – UK
