“U CAPITAL GCC 50 INDEX”
- The securities must be listed on the GCC Markets, for more than one year and have a three year financial statement.
- Based on a market-cap weighted index.
- Based on the number of all the outstanding shares.
- Components are to be reviewed on a yearly basis (every end of July), subsequent to end of year audited results of companies.
- Based on three criteria`s: Market Cap., liquidity and company performance (profitability)
- Performs a VWAP (Volume-weighted average price) and closing price to set closing prices for shares traded.
Base value at 1000 points, as of 30th December 2009.
"U CAPITAL GCC 50 INDEX" is profitability & liquidity weighted index. This means every stock in the index is represented in proportion to the index ratio.
- Liquidity of the stocks 35%.
- Profitability of the companies 35%.
- Market Cap 30%.
